On April 15th, community supporters gathered at the new Harris Rebar facility in Roberts, Wisconsin to help company officials mark the ceremonial opening with a ribbon cutting.

Guests and attendees included members of the Roberts village board and staff, elected officials, St. Croix County EDC, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), general contractor Derrick Building Solutions, project architect Cedar Corporation, and Harris Rebar employees.

Last June, Harris broke ground on a 50,000 square foot rebar fabrication and office facility. The facility was completed in December 2020, just five months after breaking ground. The Roberts facility began operations recently and allowed for the consolidation of locations in Minneapolis, Menomonie, and Eau Claire.

The company was attracted to the Roberts site due to the availability of a rail spur from the Union Pacific line running through the community. The new rail spur construction will be taking place in 2021.
