BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY
Derrick Building Solutions LLC began in 1967 when Bill Derrick Sr. created the proposal for his very first remodeling project. The first company office alternated between the basement and kitchen of the home which was located on the family farm. From there, Bill and his wife Mary Ann built a company that would grow to build new homes, create real estate developments, and add a commercial contracting division.
MEET OUR TEAM
William M. Derrick
William M. Derrick is the president of Derrick Building Solutions, LLC. Bill joined his father’s construction company, in 1988 and in 1990 he and three partners purchased the firm. As President and CEO of Derrick Building Solutions LLC, Bill is ultimately responsible for ensuring and maintaining consistent and high level construction services to all of Derrick’s clients as well as building and training an organization that is widely known as the people you want to do business with. Bill is very active in many local and professional organizations including earning the designation of Certified Church Consultant with the National Association of Church Design Builders, an organization which he also serves as the national Vice President. Over the years, Bill has volunteered countless hours on various boards and committees for economic development, non-profit groups, and community service organizations.
Mark Johnson is the Vice President Director of Operations of Derrick Building Solutions LLC. Mark is responsible for the direction, implementation and management of all phases of the construction process to ensure project performance. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mankato State University in 1983 and has been a part of the Derrick Companies since 1995. Besides his vast professional experience, Mark has earned the designation of Certified Church Consultant from the National Association of Church Design Builders. Mark is exceptionally skilled at managing projects on time and budget, anticipating issues, finding solutions and ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Aaron Sundeen is the Director of Project Development at Derrick Building Solutions LLC. Aaron joined the firm in 2017, he has prior work experience working with contractors on bonding federal, state and municipal projects. As Director of Project Development, Aaron is often the first person to meet with clients. He asks the right questions, helps determine client needs and provides input during the planning/design process.
Chad Derrick is a Project Manager with Derrick Building Solutions LLC. Chad has brought his talents to work at Derrick since his graduation from UW-Stout in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. He is very skilled at working with clients and our internal project superintendents and subcontractors to ensure superb finished products. He also specializes in working with potential clients on helping them design and estimate Butler Pre-Engineered buildings. Chad is currently active in Knights of Columbus, New Richmond Trailblazers Association, and sits on the board of directors for the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
Anne Anez joined Derrick Building Solutions in August of 2018 to provide administrative support to the Commercial Project Manager team. Anne has over 20 years of experience in a supportive administrative position that also included her local Rotary club. Recently, Anne has returned to school to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Anne is a lifetime resident of New Richmond and is also a Hunters Education Instructor with the State of Wisconsin for the last 10 years. She enjoys anything outdoors in all seasons –an avid deer hunter, lover of golf, skiing and bicycle tours in Wisconsin and Colorado.
