Derrick Building Solutions strives to truly provide solutions to all of our clients whether their projects are large or small. A great recent example of a prompt solution is the Dakota Aggregates project in Rosemount, Minnesota.
When a longtime client called a few weeks ago with a rush job located 60+ miles from our office we were happy to step up and provide an immediate solution for them. They needed to fast track development of three small buildings to serve the new sand and gravel strip mine. A 3,200 sq. ft. plant office, small control building, and small well building were originally planned and an additional fourth building for scale equipment was added to the project. They originally called in September and the projects are now largely finished just two months later.
The 1,500 acre sand and gravel mine will produce products to be used for road and construction projects throughout Minnesota. Cemstone, one of the partners in the project estimates more than 150 million tons of sand and gravel will be extracted over the next 40 years from the Dakota Aggregates site.
