  • Jerry’s Truck & Trailer Repair-the new expansion area increased the shop to include 12 bays.
  • Star Equipment Sales-the company builds and sells NRC brand wreckers and equipment and the expansion project grew the showroom for sales as well as the parts warehouse.
  • Corporate Office-Operating as the headquarters for eight locations the new office space includes a focus on centralizing dispatch and other support operations for all the Midwest Star Group subsidiaries.
  • Training Center-A new third floor training center is currently under construction which will hold 150 individuals. This space will allow Jerry’s to host National WreckMaster classes and hands-on sessions throughout the year.

“We have been working on planning this expansion project for a while, and we have enjoyed working with Derrick Building Solutions both during the planning and construction process,” said Joe Waller, Operations Manager. “Being a locally grown company ourselves, we also like the fact that we can work with another local company on an expansion of this size and quality,” he added.

“We are very happy with the final product and greatly enjoyed working with the team at Derrick Building Solutions. Our facilities are trend-setting in this industry and are so well-planned and well-designed in layout, design, and the smart systems that will serve us well for years to come,” Joe added.

When asked about the project, PM Chad Derrick said, “Every project includes details that are more than meets the eye and this project for Jerry’s Towing is a perfect example that is more than a simple space expansion. This project is thoughtfully planned to provide space to grow and advance their company and their industry overall. Projects like this give us an opportunity to show clients that Derrick Companies is more than a building contractor, but a partner in their business growth and planning.”

The Jerry’s Towing expansion earned a Gold Projects of Distinction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin. The Projects of Distinction Awards recognizes projects that are built on merit. Due to COVID-19, the awards were presented remotely to the owners and contractors and a virtual celebration will take place on January 28, 2021.
