The New Richmond Chamber of Commerce holds a large gala event each January where several hundred businesspeople from the area come together to celebrate the accomplishments of the community and recognize some individuals and companies for outstanding contributions. The 2015 awards were announced and presented at the January 27, 2016 event.
Derrick Companies was recognized as the 2015 Large Business of the Year. Accepting the award on behalf of the company was Bill Derrick, President.
New Richmond Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Rob Kreibich, introduced the award with, “The 2015 recipient of the New Richmond Chamber Large Business of the Year has deep roots in this community; a business that has grown to one of the largest players in their industry in western Wisconsin and East Metro.
It began in 1967 in the basement of a rural New Richmond home. Today it is one of the most respected and diversified companies in Wisconsin. With 57 employees, the firm has grown but the core team members and their commitment to excellence—has remained the same.
2015 just may have been one of the finest years in the company’s history…and they have had many. Culvers, Barley John’s, Westfield’s Hospital and Clinic—all were on this firm’s project list in the past year.
In fact, this New Richmond company is nationally known for its work designing and building churches.
In many ways, 2015 was the year of Derrick Companies, and for that we want to honor them for being named chamber large business of the year.”
